Dog friendly luxury Harris holiday cottage next to the sea
Sea View House is a stunning 100-year-old Harris stone cottage built on the seashore, with spectacular sea views across the Sound of Harris to the Isle of Skye, North and South Uist. Located in Strond, 2 miles from Leverburgh, the Uist ferry and boat trips to St.Kilda, it is the perfect base to explore the Hebrides and the famous beaches of Luskentyre, Scarista, Northton and Hushinish. Sea View House provides fantastic opportunities to see wildlife, with eagles, otters, seals, porpoises and seabirds seen from the house.
Renovated to an exceptionally high standard, the interiors provide generous open plan living focused on the ever-changing sea views across the Sound of Harris with spacious accommodation for four people across two large living rooms and two ensuite bedrooms. Admire the hand painted wall murals and original artwork, sink into deep comfy sofas in front of the wood burners, dream in great beds, enjoy the William Holland freestanding copper bath and relax in the infrared sauna. Sea View House can also be enjoyed as ‘one level living’ with an ensuite twin bedroom and walk in power shower on the ground floor.
The cottage is approx. 45 minutes from the Uig-Tarbert ferry and approx. 90 minutes from the Ullapool-Stornoway ferry, 5 minutes from the Berneray-Leverburgh ferry and 5 minutes from the boats to St. Kilda, making Sea View House a fantastic base for touring. The Harris Brewery, local shops, 24 hour fuel, A.S. Apothecary and artisan coffee roaster are all 5 minutes drive from the cottage.
