Sea View House is the perfect location to enjoy a few rounds of golf at the Isle of Harris Golf Club at Scarista.
Recognised as one of the most picturesque 9 holes courses in the world, the Isle of Harris Golf Club was first set up in 1930 and through hard work and dedication it is now considered to be a first class links course and extends a warm welcome to all visitors.
This beautiful course is bordered on one side by the Sound of Taransay leading out into the Atlantic Ocean, with the hills of Harris to the north, the Isle of Harris Golf Course sits above Scarista beach with its white sands stretching out into the distance, typical of this part of the Hebrides. Although only a 9 hole course, many of the holes are very demanding with more than a few natural hazards providing a challenge for all levels of ability. Club and Trolley hire can be arranged at the Clubhouse Shop, between 10am – 4pm Monday – Friday or by emailing 24 hours in advance bookings@harrisgolf.com
Faldo Fiver
Nick Faldo played here in the early 1990’s while preparing for the Masters as he wanted to practice on remote courses. He left an autographed fiver in the honesty box for green fees which Club members now compete for every year, known as the Faldo Fiver.
